Project duration:

Project description:
On behalf of the Federal Foreign Office, the project will provide an overview of the existence, effectiveness and transferability of services summarised by the term border scouts, i.e. all services offered by experts who support companies and private individuals in developing cross-border activities. As a result, existing border scout facilities will be surveyed, analysed, typified and evaluated with regard to variants, experiences and potentials. In particular, this will involve examining the possibility of setting up central contact points that are familiar with the regulations and planning and authorisation requirements on both sides of the border and actively support both companies in setting up and establishing businesses as well as individuals in cross-border employment or training, thereby contributing to legal certainty for all parties involved. The study focuses on economic and labour market-related advisory services.
The study was published on the Website of the Federal Foreign Office and as Working Paper B/ORDERS IN MOTION No. 12 (DOI:10.11584/b-orders.12).
