Volume 10: " Linking Borderlands. Complexity - Dynamics - Interdisciplinarity", edited by Sara Bonin, Ludger Gailing, Kirsten Mangels, Tobias Schank, Dagna Zinkhahn Rhobodes, published by Nomos Verlag: Baden-Baden 2024
The book is available in open access.
The volume shows the complexity and dynamics of European border regions as contact and transition zones. It is the result of the interdisciplinary joint project Linking Borderlands: Dynamics of Border Regional Peripheries, in which the SaarLorLux+ Greater Region and the border region Brandenburg/Lubuskie are placed in relation to each other. The contributions expand on the theoretical foundations and highlight practical fields of application in the areas of policy transfer and learning, social practice and language in the context of vocational training, cultural negotiation processes in film, planning cultures and the energy transition. Research and practice are in constant interaction, so that the book is a snapshot and starting point for further research projects.
